Sherwood Golf Club was created in 1965 as a nine hole course by golf course designer Blondie Meridth. Originally called Sherwood Golf & Country Club, it has changed names over the years, but is Sherwood once again. It was developed into an eighteen hole golf course in 1969. Also over time, Hacker’s Lounge and the grant banquet hall have received updates, improvements, and renovations. Currently, Hacker’s Lounge, renovated in November 2009, features a full-service bar, six large high definition televisions with a full DirecTV sports package, a jukebox and billiards. The grand banquet hall was renovated in January 2010, and has an L-shaped floor with 2300 square feet of available space.
